Before the race
A full parking lot at the Iditarod headquarters in Wasilla, already at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, 2-28-07. Here our dogs get a physical exam, and all papers for
vaccinations and deworming are checked thoroughly. Thirty to forty veterinarians in groups of four to six will visit teams showing up today. Every musher can either have
his own veterinary exam of all the dogs or come to this official vet check.
